7 TIPS TO GET RID OF CELLULITE

7 TIPS TO GET RID OF CELLULITE

Cellulite is a common problem for many women. Although people who are overweight have a higher risk of getting cellulite, our weight is not the only factor. People of all ages and sizes are plagued with orange-peel-like skin.

Hormones, genetics, toxic build-up, and lifestyle seem to play an important role. The problem lays in an imbalance in the connective tissue and our body’s fat.

There are many cellulite-reducing treatments on the market which come with a high price tag, don’t give the desired result they promise, and are loaded with exotic chemicals that can do more harm than good to your skin.

Luckily there are some cheap and effective natural cellulite treatment ways to reduce cellulite and help your body improve its shape for the next bikini season.

Here are MY TOP 7:

1. Drink plenty of water (2-3 l daily)

Water is essential to life and it is also essential to reducing and preventing further cellulite. Just think about the effects/look of dehydration: shrivelled, lumpy, aged. This doesn't make a cellulite-free body with smooth, supple skin. Drink pure water every day as the first thing you consume.

2. Dry skin body brushing

This is the single most effective way to get blood circulating, encourage lymph drainage and smooth the surface of your skin all in one.

You probably brush your hair, and your teeth, tend to the skin on your face, regularly exfoliating, cleansing, and moisturizing, but do you brush your skin? And why would you?

Your skin is your largest organ and one-third of your body’s toxins are excreted through it and there is one simple step you can add to your morning routine that can greatly improve its health – dry skin brushing.

What are the benefits?

1. Stimulate Your Lymphatic System
2. Exfoliation.

3. Increase Circulation
4. Reduce Cellulite
5. Stress Relief
6. Improve Digestion and Kidney Function

How to do it?

While fairly simple, there is a technique you want to follow. Since dry skin brushing is such a powerful aid for your lymphatic system, you want to help your lymph as much as possible. Also, it’s recommended that you try daily skin brushing for three months to really see the full benefits.

All you need is a good natural brush. Here is the one that I use

Always brush on dry skin. There is a reason why this is called dry skin brushing. Don’t brush on wet skin or with a wet brush as it can be too abrasive and your pores are more open (meaning you could clog your pores with all that stuff you’re trying to brush off). The best time to dry brush is before you shower. Daily is recommended.

Begin brushing by starting at your feet and moving in long sweeping motions toward your heart. Always brush toward your heart. After getting out of the shower, pat dry skin and apply a natural fruit oil like rosehip or coconut oil.

And don’t forget to clean your brush with soap and water once a week. Leave to dry in a clean, sunny spot to avoid any mildew accumulation on your brush.

3. Eat clean and avoid processed foods

Fresh fruits and vegetables are a great way to alkalize your body and get rid of acidic toxins and cellulite. Our western diet is high in sugar and processed foods, all leaving acid residues in your body. Alkaline forming food sources, like fresh fruits and vegetables, neutralize those acids.

Eating fresh produce will not only help you to reduce fat cell formation, it fights cellulite and slows the ageing process of your body as well.

4. Coffee scrub

A coffee scrub is another very effective way to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Try this coffee-grind cocktail: Mix 1/4 cup ground coffee with 3 tablespoons of hot water and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to absorb the water and form a paste. Then, mix in 2 tablespoons of olive oil to help bind the grinds. (This will make it easier to spread on, and offer extra moisturizing effects.)

5. Massage

Turns out, a good old-fashioned deep-tissue massage also combats cellulite.

The right massage can help temporarily—and the more your masseuse makes you wince, the better the results will be. Deep-tissue massage drains bloated lymph nodes, making your skin appear smoother for two or three days.

6. Cayenne pepper

It increases blood circulation in the body and can aid in the elimination of toxins. Mix half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper with half a lemon in a glass of water. Drink this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

7. Exercise

Cellulite is a type of fat, and the tried-and-true way to get rid of fat is to burn it off. INTENSE CARDIO WORKOUTS COMBINED WITH STRENGTH TRAINING ARE YOUR GREATEST WEAPON. Note that it may take several months to decrease your overall percentage of body fat and notice a difference in your skin's appearance.
